Washing DC has many forms of public transit available including the 3 bus systems, a metro subway, and a bike sharing system. You may also find Uber and Lyft convenient apps to download for getting around the city. The Crystal City Metro station, on Metrorail's Blue and Yellow Lines, is in walking distance of the conference hotel and venue. From this metro station, you can take the train just a few stops to the Smithsonian metro stop to visit the National Mall, home to many national monuments and museums, or to the Gallery Place metro stop to visit the National Portrait Gallery and enjoy some great DC restaurants.
National Mall - The long, grassy National Mall is home to iconic monuments including the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument. At the eastern end is the domed U.S. Capitol, and the White House is to the north.
Smithsonian Museums - The Smithsonian offers eleven free museums and galleries on the National Mall.
