At SEEP, we care about your privacy. We believe in transparency, and are committed to being upfront about our privacy practices, including how we treat your personal information. The SEEP Network created this Privacy Policy to demonstrate respect for your privacy preferences and to disclose our information collection and sharing practices.
This Privacy Policy, (“Policy”) governs the website at https://seepnetwork.org/ (“Site”), and the different ways to use our Site that is owned by our organization The SEEP Network, (“SEEP”).
The Policy describes what personal data and non-personal data we may collect from you, how we collect it, how we protect it, how we may share it, how you can access and change it, and how you can limit our sharing of it. Our privacy notice also explains certain legal rights that you have with respect to your personal data.
The Policy describes the data that we gather on or through the Site, how we use and disclose such data, and the steps we take to protect such data. By visiting, accessing, using our Site, or by accessing other services from SEEP, you consent to the data collection, disclosure and use practices described in the Policy. Please also review our Terms and Conditions, which governs your use of the Site and other services.
When using our Site or accessing other services and submitting personal data to us, you may have certain rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other laws. Depending on the legal basis for processing your personal data, you may have some or all of the following rights:
The right to be informed. You have the right to be informed about the personal data we collect from you, and how we process it.

The right to object for us processing your personal data for the following reasons:
Filing a complaint with authorities. You have the right to file a complaint with supervisory authorities if your information has not been processed in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation. If the supervisory authorities fail to address your complaint properly, you may have the right to a judicial remedy.
“Non-personal data” is information that is in no way personally identifiable.
“Personal data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (‘data subject’); an identifiable natural person is one
who can be identified, directly or indirectly, by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific
to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person. Personal data is in many ways the same as Personally Identifiable Information
(PII). However, Personal data is broader in scope and covers more data.
A “Visitor” is someone who browses our Site or accesses other services.
A “User” is any person granted express, implied or apparent authority to use our Site or other services.
Automatic Information
We automatically receive information from your web browser or mobile device. This information includes the name of the Internet service provider used from which you entered our Site, if any, as well as the name of the Site you’ll visit when you leave our Site. This information also includes the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer/the proxy server you use to access the Internet, your Internet service provider’s name, your web browser type, the type of device, device ID, device model, device manufacturer, location, your device’s operating system, and data about your browsing activity when using our Site. We use all this information to analyze trends among our users to help improve our Site.
When Entering and Using Our Site
When you enter and use our Site and agree to accept cookies, some of these cookies may collect your Personal Data.
At User Registration or When Using Our Site
When you register as a user through the use of our Site or when accessing other services, we may collect some or all of the following information: your first and last name, email address, work address, name of organization, job title, region of residence, country, username, password, and other information collected that could directly or indirectly identify you.
SEEP may also obtain Personal Data, such as contact information, such as name, and financial account information, of its member’s representatives. SEEP uses this information to manage relationships with its members, process payments, expenses, and reimbursements, and carry out SEEP obligations with members.

Communications and Emails
When we communicate with you about our Site provided, we will use the email address you provided when you registered as a user. We may also send you emails with promotional information about our Site or offers from us unless you have opted out of receiving such information. Sharing Information with Third Parties
SEEP discloses personal data only to Third Parties who reasonably need to know such data. Such recipients must agree to abide by confidentiality obligations.
SEEP’s use of Third Parties will maintain administrative, physical, and technical safeguards for protection of the security, confidentiality, and integrity of user data. Those safeguards will include, but will not be limited to, measures for preventing access, use, modification or disclosure of user data by Third-Party suppliers’ personnel.
We may also share the information we have collected about you, including personal data, as disclosed at the time you provide your data, with your consent, as otherwise described in this Policy, or in the following circumstances:
To request access to or for to correct personal data, please sign into your account that you’ve created through a secure login.
To delete your account, you can e-mail seep@seepnetwork.org to request for account deletion.
If you are unable for any reason to access your account settings, you may also contact us by one of the methods described in the “Contact Us” section below.
Where you have provided your consent, you also have the right to withdraw your consent to our processing of your data and your use of our Site. You can withdraw your consent through your account settings or by making a request by contacting us.
You may decline to share certain Personal Data with us, in which case we may not be able to provide to you some of the features and functionality of the Site.
If you make a request to delete your personal data and that data is necessary for the use of the Site, the request will be honored only to the extent it is no longer necessary for the Site or required for our legitimate organization purposes or legal or contractual recordkeeping requirements.
SEEP will respond to all requests, inquiries, or concerns within thirty (30) days.
Our Site may contain links to other websites. These websites are not under our control and are not subject to our privacy policy. These websites will likely have their own privacy notices. We have no responsibility for these websites and we provide links to these websites solely for your convenience to use our Site. You acknowledge that your use of and access to these websites are solely at your risk. It is your responsibility to check the privacy notices of these websites to see how they treat your Personal Data.
Even though our Site is not designed for use by anyone under the age of 18, we realize that a child under the age of 18 may attempt to access our Site. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child is using our Site, please contact us. Before we remove any information, we may ask for proof of identification to prevent malicious removal of account information. If we discover that a child is accessing our Site, we will delete his/her information within a reasonable period of time.
You can always opt-out of receiving further email correspondence from us. We will not sell, rent, or trade your email address to any unaffiliated third party without your permission.

You may provide your credit card information to register for conferences, pay or renew membership dues and other paid services. We use third-party billing services and have no control over these services. We use our commercially reasonable efforts to make sure your credit card number is kept strictly confidential by using only third-party billing services that use industry-standard encryption technology to protect your credit card number from unauthorized use. However, you understand and agree that we are in no way responsible for any misuse of your credit card number.
We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time. If we decide to change our Policy, we will post those changes to this Policy and any other places we deem appropriate, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If we make changes to this Policy, we will notify you by email, or by means of a notice on our homepage, at least thirty (30) days prior to the implementation of the changes.
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) and believe we maintain your personal data subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we will work with local data protection authorities to address any questions, concerns, or complaints regarding the transfer and or processing of personal data that we cannot resolve with our users directly.

Mobile Opt-out

Membership Accounts

For our members, before logging into the membership space on our Site, you must provide us with information that is accurate, complete, and current for the creation of accounts. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account on our Site.
You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Site and for any activities or actions under your password.
You agree not to disclose your password to any third-party. You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.
You may not use as a username, the name of another person, or entity or that is not lawfully available for use, a name or trademark that is subject to any rights of another person or entity other than you, without appropriate authorization.
Termination of Membership Account
We may terminate or suspend your membership account and bar access to the SEEP Member space immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation, including but not limited to a breach of the Terms.
If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the Site and request for account deletion through membership@seepnetwork.org.
Membership Dues/Renewals
Membership dues and renewal information are made available through the Site. You may be asked to supply certain information relevant information including, and without limitation, your credit card number, the expiration date of your credit card, your billing address, and banking information for checks and wire transfers.
You represent and warrant that: (i) you have the legal right to use any credit card(s) or other payment method(s) in connection with any membership dues or renewals; and that (ii) the information you supply to us is true, correct and complete.
The Site may employ the use of third-party services for the purpose of facilitating payment and the completion of membership dues and renewals. By submitting your information, you grant us the right to provide the information to these third parties subject to our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel your membership at any time for reasons including but not limited to errors in the description or price, errors, fraud, unauthorized transaction, or other reasons.
SEEP, in its sole discretion and at any time, may modify the membership dues for members. Any membership fee change will become effective at the end of the then-current billing cycle.
SEEP will provide you with a reasonable prior notice of any change in membership fees to give you an opportunity to terminate your membership before such change becomes effective.
Other Paid Services (including conferences and trainings)
Information on conference and training fees is made available through the Site. You may be asked to supply certain information relevant information including, and without limitation, your credit card number, the expiration date of your credit card, your billing address, and banking information for checks and wire transfers.
You represent and warrant that: (i) you have the legal right to use any credit card(s) or other payment method(s) in connection with any membership dues or renewals; and that (ii) the information you supply to us is true, correct and complete.

SEEP, in its sole discretion and at any time, may modify conference/training fees or fees for other services.
SEEP will provide updates on any fee changes to conference/training fees and fees for other services through the Site.
Certain refund requests for conference/trainings registrations may be considered by SEEP on a case-by-case basis and granted at the sole discretion of SEEP, in alignment with the refund policy for that event/service.
The Site and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of SEEP. The Site is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the United States and foreign countries. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used without the prior written consent of SEEP.
Our Site may contain links to third party websites that are not owned or controlled by SEEP.
SEEP has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites. We do not warrant the offerings of any of these entities/individuals or their websites.
You acknowledge and agree that SEEP shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods, or services available on or through any such third-party websites or services.
We strongly advise you to read the terms and conditions and privacy policies of any third- party websites or services that you visit.
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless SEEP and their employees, contractors, and directors, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees), resulting from or arising out of a) your use and access of the Site, by you or any person using your account and password; b) a breach of these Terms, or c) content posted on the Site.
In no event shall SEEP, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Site; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Site; (iii) any content obtained from the Site; and (iv) unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence) or any other legal theory, whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage, and even if a remedy set forth herein is found to have failed of its essential purpose.

The Site is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or course of performance.
SEEP does not warrant that a) the Site will function uninterrupted, secure or available at any particular time or location; b) any errors or defects will be corrected; c) the Site is free of viruses or other harmful components; or d) the results of using the Site will meet your requirements.
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our Site and supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have had between us regarding the Site.
Our Privacy Policy details how your information is used when you use our Site. By using our Site, you're also agreeing that we can process your information in the ways set out in the Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time.
