In collaboration with the Arab Women’s Enterprise Fund (AWEF), DAI Europe, and MarketShare Associates, The SEEP Network hosts a two-year learning series entitled “In Practice: Women’s Economic Empowerment in Market Systems." Funded by the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID), the learning series is part of the AWEF project, and aims to engage diverse stakeholders to examine practical lessons and solutions in women’s economic empowerment.
Launched in 2015, the AWEF initiative aims to increase economic opportunity and well-being for 150,000 poor women in Egypt, Jordan, and Palestine. The objective is to expand women’s participation and representation in the labour market and enhance their voice, choice, and control in economic activities.
