The Program Manager for Operational Effectiveness and Development (PM/OED) implements strategies to promote the effective and efficient use of information and knowledge related to Corus' international operations and programs. Specifically, the person maintains departmental policies and procedures and plays a key role in helping users of those policies and procedures best learn and understand the contents (trainings, work aids, etc.). S/he also assists in various cross-departmental, cross-regional efforts such as compiling information on Corus programs needed for complying with external reporting requirements such as the International Aid Transparency Initiative.
The success of this role is measured by the following KRAs:
Supports the writing and updating of policies, procedures, manuals, etc. by coordinating subject matter inputs, editing and formatting for clarity, and tracking feedback and proposals for revisions for future versions, owned by the International Program and Operations Department, including:
Develops complementary resources such as training materials or work aids, and delivers training or coaching to ensure the creative and effective roll out of new or updated policies, systems, and procedures.
Assists the AVP for OED in coordinating with other departments and teams, such as International Finance, Legal and Compliance, and International Programs (especially via the Deputy Regional Directors) to identify strategies for staff capacity strengthening related to compliance and risk management in country offices.
Compiles project and country program data needed by the Compliance team for external agency-wide reporting, applying the Corus publication exclusion policy, including:
Participates in interdepartmental efforts related to knowledge management and learning and development.
This role reports to the AVP for Operational Effectiveness and Development.
Bachelor's degree in a field related to international development, communications, or adult education.

The duties of the job require regular work at least 5 days/week in alignment with Corus' in person and remote working policy. The employee must be available to work outside normal office hours or on the weekends as required.
This position must be able to travel as required for standard domestic and international business purposes, estimated at up to 25% of the time. While performing the duties of this job in different locations, the employee may be exposed to precarious settings under high security risks and/or very basic living conditions and extreme weather conditions, as well as to infectious diseases.
