Around the world, young women and men are driving change in their own communities and beyond. This has always been the case, but it’s been especially apparent during the COVID-19 crisis. Young people, and youth-led organizations, are on the front lines. They are identifying immediate challenges and needs, responding quickly, and laying the foundation on which the world will repair and rebuild post pandemic.
Young people are leading the charge, but they can’t be expected to do it alone.
That’s why IYF started the Global Youth Resiliency Fund (GYRF)—to speed support to these amazing young entrepreneurs, community leaders, and changemakers who are taking on the COVID-19 crisis around the world. With generous funding from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation and Burberry, and the support of a number of committed individuals, the GYRF will put resources swiftly and securely in the hands of youth-led ventures—both social enterprises and nonprofits—delivering vital work in response to the pandemic. Designed to pool donors’ contributions to multiply investment where it matters most—at the grassroots level—the fund will increase impact while streamlining processes and minimizing redundancies.
