BRE in collaboration with Catholic Relief Services and Save the Children, supported by Oxford Brookes University and the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, are hosting a conference Working Together for Disaster Relief on the 8th February 2019 in Watford, UK.
The conference theme is a localization of humanitarian response. More effectively supporting affected communities to respond to disasters by forming partnerships, embedding systems, training and building the capability to better support themselves. This is in support of the movement for a more locally driven humanitarian system.
With humanitarian partnerships with private sector companies on the rise this conference will focus on sharing information, and identifying and promoting effective ways for the private and humanitarian sectors to better collaborate to promote outcomes which support and reinforce localisation. More information and details about the event can be found at the following link: https://bregroup.com/events/eventdetails.jsp?id=16090
The conference is free to attend for NGOs and charities, with a modest £50 charge for private sector attendees. You can find out more and register to attend here. If you have any questions, you can contact QSAND@bre.co.uk
