Social Rating and Social Performance Reporting in Microfinance: Towards a Common Framework
Dec 31, 2005 | by Frances Sinha
This paper draws upon a number of on-going initiatives working on social performance to develop a common framework for social rating and an indicative list of dimensions and indicators for social performance reporting in microfinance. The framework follows the Imp-Act pathway that emphasizes social performance, not only as an end result (the ‘impact’), but also as the steps to get there, including the social and development values widely associated with microfinance.
