Policy advocacy is an essential service many associations provide to their members and the microfinance sector. This toolkit is designed to support the planning and execution of these efforts through practical tools, examples, and lessons learned. The toolkit draws upon a growing body of literature on the subject of policy advocacy, as well as the experience of a multitude of microfinance associations from around the world.

This online tool has been designed for easier reading and navigation. Supplemental sample documents and case studies are accessible though integrated links, allowing users to obtain more information in areas of interest.
Users can download either the entire document as a single PDF or each chapter individually. Each page in the online tool has links to appropriate chapters as well as relevant case studies. Also available as a link is an easy to use “Steps in Advocacy Planning Workbook”.
Additionally, there are links to two Sample Advocacy Plans that will give users a flavor of how associations plan their advocacy efforts.
