The Market Systems Symposium, in partnership with Habitat for Humanity's Terwilliger Center for Innovation in Shelter, invites you to a discussion on why housing systems development is essential to effective economic development. The discussion will include input on the process that the Terwilliger Center is using to improve the way market systems work in the housing and construction markets of India. The discussion will close through consultation with participants, to feed in their experiences using market systems approaches in the development of construction and housing markets. This event is the first in a series of local events leading up to the global Market Systems Symposium taking place in Cape Town, South Africa, from April 8 - 11, 2019. Input from this presentation and discussion will be used to feed into the Symposium, and the topic will be explored in much greater depth in April.
