Join this webinar to hear speaker Karen Lewin, Product Director of VisionFund International, as she presents the results and lessons learned by VisionFund in implementing a Savings Group linkage loan product in four countries: Tanzania, Rwanda, Ghana and Zambia.
The aim of the report is to share practical findings on keys to success in linking with Savings Groups in ways that improve household well-being and are sustainable and scalable. The report outlines the key risks for financial service providers (FSPs) in lending to Savings Groups (including portfolio quality, fraud and over-indebtedness) and describes practical ways of mitigating those risks.

In her role as Product Director, Karen resources product development initiatives amongst VisionFund’s network of 28 microfinance institutions. enabling VisionFund MFIs to offer client driven products for needs such as loans for buying dairy cows and equipment, agricultural assets, solar products and water and sanitation.
Karen comes from a microfinance and saving group background, having managed a microfinance institution in Cambodia and a savings group program in Papua New Guinea. She joined World Vision in 2006 and has been working with VisionFund since 2009. Karen is based in Perth, Australia.
