In late 2012-early 2013, WFP and Oxfam collaborated on a piece of research that aimed to understand how humanitarian agencies are currently engaging with markets and how this work might evolve. The research culminated in the writing of an executive brief. According to research findings: "Agencies should work on a common definition or terminology that could be used to frame discussions on market integrated relief, indirect support through markets and overall market based programming. It's proposed to consider the work of the SEEP Network as a starting point" (Oxfam and WFP 2013).
