Construcción de modelos de negocios sostenibles destinados a los servicios financieros para los jóvenes

Este caso de estudio comparativo fue desarrollado como parte del Programa de la Red SEEP Innovations in Youth Financial Services Practitioner Learning Program [I Programa de Aprendizaje para Profesionales en la Innovación de Servicios Financieros Juvenilesl (PLP)] en asociación con la MasterCard Foundation [Fundación MasterCard]. Examina las experiencias de Catholic Relief Services (CRS)-El Salvador, Enlace y FINCA Uganda a medida que trabajan para ampliar los productos financieros para los jóvenes a través de la incorporación de modelos de negocios sostenibles. Para muchas instituciones financieras, los productos y servicios financieros para los jóvenes no están totalmente integrados al interior de los modelos de negocios organizacionales debido a que a menudo son parte de una misión social corporativa y generan inicialmente un retorno financiero muy reducido. Sin embargo, con la finalidad de llegar de manera efectiva a un mayor número de clientes jóvenes a través de la expansión, es importante para las instituciones financieras evaluar cuidadosamente sus productos financieros para los jóvenes con la finalidad de determinar dónde podrían encajar dentro de la misión organizacional y si éstos actualmente son (o alguna vez serán) sostenibles desde el punto de vista financiero. En este documento, CRS-El Salvador, Enlace y FINCA Uganda exploran las consideraciones referentes a ofrecer productos financieros sostenibles e impulsados por la misión a los clientes jóvenes.
