Congregational Engagement Manager

Aug 25, 2021 | by

About The Job

You will be in relationship with 125+ congregations that share God's love through Lutheran World Relief (LWR) and want to partner with us in our mission to end poverty, injustice and human suffering. You will make meaningful connections with congregational leaders and develop and grow gifts of $5,000 or more. Some days will include connecting with pastors over the phone or by email. Other days will include travelling to churches across the United States to deepen engagement with LWR. You will preach and speak in congregations about the lifesaving difference that their generosity can make when they share their love with our neighbors through LWR. In a world of plenty, those with the very least are the most forsaken. In this role, you will inspire others to put faith in action and be a critical part of helping us solve this global problem

About The Ideal Candidate

You are passionate about loving your neighbor and inspiring others to share their generosity with a world in need. You have experience with Lutheran audiences, understand congregational systems, and have a strong background in Lutheran theology. You are a great communicator and storyteller, love preaching about mission, and aren't afraid to ask others to join you in this important work. You believe in the core values of Corus International and Lutheran World Relief, and would thrive working side-by-side with others who share these values. You are a team player, creative problem solver and long for daily work that will make a real difference in the world. If you are this person, we would love to meet you!

Requirements

This role requires a minimum of a four-year college degree. At least seven years of experience with increasing responsibilities in relationship management is required, including experience working with congregations or individuals with significant philanthropic capacity. This position could sit in one of our offices in Baltimore, MD or St. Paul, MN, or could work remotely.

Why You Should Apply

Corus offers competitive salaries, discretionary bonuses, 100% employer paid Vision insurance, lots of paid leave, generous retirement program, flexible work schedules and so much more!

Corus International prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type and affords equal employment opportunities to employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability status, sexual orientation, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by U.S. or International law.
