Assessment of Rental and Potential Housing Market in Gaza Strip

This assessment study provides documentation on the location and category of available or potential housing units that could be used to host displaced people in the Gaza Strip. The study was comminssioned by the Norwegian Refugee Council in an effort to determine housing availability due to serious housing shortages that have occured as result of military operations in Gaza. The study describes the assessment objective, methodology and the aggregation of results. Categories of housing assessed included buildings for rent or sale, buildings with potential for retrofitting, and unfinished buildings that could be completed.
