Virtual Roundtable: Women's Economic Empowerment in the Time of COVID-19

Jun 2, 2020 | by The SEEP Network

Questions & Answers

The Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) Working Group and FinEquity were delighted to cohost a 90-minute virtual roundtable discussion on COVID-19 and Women’s Economic Empowerment, with a focus on employment and entrepreneurship.

The discussion explored the impact of COVID-19 in these areas of women’s economic empowerment and how projects and organizations are responding to these challenges in practical ways. The virtual roundtable served as an opportunity for members to share actionable insights that can inform the work of others in this space.

To ensure a vibrant and highly interactive discussion, we asked participants to share insights about how they are adapting your projects, approaches, and tools in response to the COVID-19 crisis and what they are seeing as emerging lessons-learned and good practices. Moderators invited specific participants to share their insights on particular topics during the call, while all others were welcome to tune in to the discussion.
