April 21, 18:00 UTC and April 22, 14:00 UTC
Hosted by World Vision – in collaboration with Vision Fund, DreamStart Labs, and the Markets in Crises Community of Practice – this session will explore strategic enablers at the intersection of humanitarian response and post-pandemic recovery, including cash and voucher assistance, access to finance, and technology. Drawing from experience and evidence from across the globe, speakers will examine the impact of complex crises and shocks, gaps in fragmented interventions, and inconsistent programs and national policies. And, importantly, they will challenge the audience to consider Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus (HDPN) approaches for a sustainable and transparent post-pandemic recovery.
Harmonisation of humanitarian standards: The contribution of the Humanitarian Standards Partnership (session under Network: HSP)
April 27, 07:00 UTC and April 29, 14:00 UTC
The Humanitarian Standards Partnership (HSP) is a coalition of standard-setting initiatives coordinated by Sphere, including SEEP’s Minimum Economic Recovery Standards. HSP members all share a similar approach. They see humanitarian standards as an expression of human rights developed via inclusive consultation processes with a wide range of practitioners, and which create abroad consensus on best practices. This session will explore the role of humanitarian standards and present the work and added value of the HSP. The event will be delivered in English with simultaneous interpretation into Arabic, French and Spanish. International sign language interpretation and live English captions will be provided.
If you wish to register for any of the sessions at HNPW, please look for them in the Event Program and click “R” next to the title to complete your registration.
