The SEEP FRAME Training Corner

Welcome to the SEEP FRAME Training Corner!

SEEP facilitates several FRAME trainings each year, often in conjunction with regional and country-level microfinance networks. These trainings take 3-5 days and can be adjusted to the level of performance-monitoring proficiency of the attendees. SEEP has held FRAME trainings in Uganda, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Guatemala, and Washington, DC. Additionally, other SEEP-trained facilitators offer FRAME courses with their own institutions.

Upcoming FRAME trainings:

In addition, other facilitators and organizations may hold FRAME trainings. SEEP does its best to advertise those courses here; if you know of an upcoming FRAME training, please contact the FRAME Help Desk to let us know!

How can my organization host a FRAME training?

SEEP aims to make its FRAME Tool as widely disseminated as possible! If you would like to host a FRAME training, SEEP can work with you to find an option that fits your schedule and budget. Please note that network agencies, regional and national microfinance associations, and training institutes are often the best organizations to organize a FRAME training, as they can convene many MFIs together for one workshop.

FRAME trainings usually last from 3-5 days, depending on the skill level of participants and whether you would like to include a TOT (training of trainers) component. Our training materials are available in English, French and Spanish; however, if you would like to translate our materials into additional languages, we are happy to work with you to do so!

SEEP maintains a list of SEEP-trained facilitators on the FRAME training. However, we do not certify facilitators; anyone with an appropriate knowledge of microfinance financial performance monitoring and of the FRAME Tool may conduct a training. SEEP encourages microfinance associations and network agencies to have their staff members participate in a FRAME TOT, so that they may conduct future trainings for their member MFIs.

If you are interested in hosting a FRAME training, please contact SEEP's .

Other Financial Performance Monitoring Trainings

Many leading microfinance training courses, including financial performance monitoring courses at the Microenterprise Development Institute at New Hampshire and South Africa and the Boulder Institute of Microfinance utilize or promote the SEEP Framework manual and ratios and/or the SEEP FRAME Tool. However, these are not SEEP courses. You may wish to contact these organizations and course instructors directly to learn more about their use of the Framework or FRAME Tool in the course.
