The 2007 SEEP Network Annual Conference theme, "Powering Connections," is tied to our mission to connect Microfinance and Microenterprise practitioners in a global learning community. The conference will offer participants key opportunities to learn, to share, and to engage through trainings, workshops and networking. Participants will include practitioners, donors, investors and other key stakeholders.

Global Network Summit
Three days of intensive workshops for microfinance association representatives. THIS PROGRAM IS BY INVITATION ONLY.

Provides a framework to develop financial statements and reports. The course introduces participants to the SEEP 18 ratios for measuring MFI performance, and to the SEEP FRAME Tool for analyzing data and producing reports. For more info on the FRAME please click here.

WAM International Forum on Gender and Microfinance>
Putting Gender on the Microfinance Map: the Gender effect on Clients and Management

WAM International was created to advance the microfinance and microenterprise development fields by promoting better services for clients and by supporting women staff and leaders. The Forum, co-sponsored by WAM International and The SEEP Network, will serve as a platform for approximately 100 practitioners, network representatives, funders and researchers, to convene and identify challenges and develop strategies to support key gender issues in microfinance, enhancing benefits for clients and making more effective use of human resources and talents.

A Day of Workshops to Advance Practice through Collaboration

An event sponsored by AED and the USAID FIELD-Support Leader with Associates mechanism, Focus on the Field will bring together leading practitioners in microfinance and microenterprise development to learn about, discuss and chart a path for some of the most important issues facing the industry today.

Both days of the Annual Conference will feature workshops on various topics and themes related to issues in the microfinance and microenterprise development field. Workshops are open to everyone. Opening Plenary Thursday by Robert Christen from Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
As Director of Financial Services for the Poor for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Robert Christen will be speaking on the role and strategic direction of the Foundation in microfinance.
