The theme of SEEP's Annual Conference 2006 is “Investing in the Majority.”
SEEP and its members seek widespread, sustainable economic growth through viable financial and enterprise development services to the poor throughout the developing world. Investing in microfinance and microenterprise development means investing in the economic future of developing countries: small business owners and self-employed entrepreneurs. In keeping with the theme, SEEP will also host a by-invitation-only roundtable for investors interested in supporting microfinance. Last year, the Conference drew over 1,100 participants over five days from over 101 countries, including representatives from every stakeholder group in the industry.
